The absolute best way to get your sneakers clean!

Contrary to the picture, you can get your sneakers clean without using your tongue!

Have sneakers of value that need to be cleaned for display, value or want them to be presentable?

Here is an easy few tips to get those shoes back to their normal looks (or at least close to).

Step one: Prep

I typically start with a cotton wash cloth and get it semi-wet; not soaked.

You want to run the entire shoe with the cloth to get easy dirt/mess off the shoe.

Step two: Cleaning

Now you want to get a little deeper. I suggest purchasing a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. This is your best friend when cleaning shoes. The Magic Eraser is simply; Magic. I have cleaned shoes that look like there isn't a hope in the world to get them cleaned then I bust out my trusty Magic Eraser and SHAZAM! dirt and grim just lift off.

Wet the Magic Eraser with water, squeeze the extra water in it out and begin to run the shoe with a little pressure. You will start noticing the shoe getting cleaner and cleaner.

For an even better finish, add any sneaker cleaner to the mix and it will make your results even more impressive.

Note: The Magic Eraser does shave off fragments of the Eraser. This is normal. This thing is like a sponge and it will begin to breakdown and become brown. Like I said, this is normal.

Step three: Protect

If the shoes you're cleaning a leather, I suggest purchasing some weather-proof spray. Follow the directions on the can and spray.

For suede, do the same, but purchase suede cleaner/protection. Suede tends to fade, this product will help fight against it!

Tips and warnings:

When using any sprays, please use in a highly-ventilated area. You don't want to be breathing in all those chemicals. What good are fresh sneakers when you are dead from inhaling chemicals.
